17 Strong Celebration Chardonnay

A wonderful expression of Central Coast Chardonnay with notes of green apple, apricot, and baked bread. The palate is supple in texture with well-balanced acidity and finishes with a touch of mineral and citrus.

The grapes are from the Gold Coast Vineyard in Santa Maria. The whole cluster was pressed, the juice was cold settled overnight, then racked into neutral French oak barrels for fermentation. Malolactic was completed on the lees, and the wine aged 11 months. The blend was assembled, fined for clarity, and returned to the barrel for an additional three months of aging. The wine was bottled after 14 months, without filtration, to retain its supple texture.

17 Strong Victory Red Blend, Central Coast

A Bordeaux-style blend with 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petite Verdot. Jammy and smooth with notes of plum, currant, mocha, and rosemary. In the mouth, the wine opens to tart cherry and blackberry flavors with a firm tannic structure that frames the wine and keeps it in balance.

The grapes were sourced from Santa Barbara Highlands Vineyard, located in the easternmost portion of Santa Barbara County. This 3,000-foot elevation vineyard has warm days and cool nights, producing grapes with ripe flavors and overall balance. The grapes were destemmed and put into open-top fermenters. After a 3-day cold soak, fermentation started, and manual punch-downs were carried out twice a day. The must was pressed at dryness, and the wine was put into neutral French oak barrels for 11 months. A blend was assembled, fined, and returned to the barrel for an additional three months of aging. The wine was bottled, unfiltered, after 14 months in a barrel.
